Star Wallin
Founder and Principal

 

Star Wallin specializes in supporting mission-driven organizations make change that matters. She has worked with organizations spanning the public, social and private sectors in areas including strategy, organizational design, governance, performance management, change management, and business process improvement.

 

Star is passionate about education. As both a middle school science teacher, McKinsey engagement manager, and CEO of Bell Creek Consulting, she has worked extensively across the Pre-K-through-career continuum. She has counseled leaders and supported change efforts to dramatically improve educational quality at a wide variety of institutions: reform-oriented urban school districts; high performing charter management organizations; global philanthropic foundations; innovative individual schools; state education agencies; large public higher education systems; and major cultural institutions. While at McKinsey, Star served as the chief of staff to the head of the Firm’s Social Sector Office and managed projects for clients ranging from local charter school networks to large federal agencies.

 

Star graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Vanderbilt University and earned a M.A. in Teaching from American University.
